Madison’s third annual free, outdoor music festival is coming up on Sunday, June 21, and WORT is proud to partner with Delta Properties to sponsor a stage in the Kroger Warehouse Parking Lot at 634 W. Main Street! Come dance and jam to folk, world and rock music presented by three fantastic local Madison bands!
The event will take place from 3-6 pm and will feature Madison’s own Hoot n’ Annie (3-4 pm), Tairis (4-5 pm) and Getaway Drivers (5-6 pm).

Hoot ‘n Annie is a bluegrass-y folk band from Madison. This entertaining group identifies as a “vocal-centric string band” with “songs that are fun to sing in harmony backed by fiddle, banjo, ukulele bass, harmonica, cello, and guitar.” More information about the band can be found on their website or Facebook page.
Tairis is a Madison-based “Celtic quintet featuring dance tunes, airs, and songs in English and Gaelic.” More information about the band can be found on their Facebook page.
Getaway Drivers is self-described “contemporary rock spiced with turmeric and other flavors.” They have been recording and performing in Madison for over ten years, and each member of the group brings a wide array of musical influences that collectively allows the band to maintain its unique sound. More information about the band can be found on their website or Facebook page, and their music can be purchased at http://cdbaby.com/cd/getawaydrivers.
Come celebrate the summer solstice with Make Music Madison and visit us at our stage! More information about Make Music Madison can be found on their website http://makemusicmadison.org/, and information about the event itself can be found on the Facebook event page or on the convenient Make Music Day app.
We can’t wait to see you there for a day of dancing and fun!
