For 10 years, Doctors Saul Weiner and Alan Schwarz recorded conversations between Doctors and their patients throughout the midwest. Why? Not because they were secret National Security Agency spies, but because they wanted to explore how well doctors listened to their patients. They’ve published their findings in their new book “Listening for What Matters: Avoiding Contextual Errors in Health Care,” available from Oxford University Press.
